Secretary of State Kerry traveled all the way to Timbuktoo by camel caravan today to continue his negotiations with Palestinean,Eygtian and Israeli negotiators.
He refused to answer questions about the fact that none of the negotiating parties were present Timbuktoo.
"It doesn't matter if they are here or not," said Kerry in his most prophetic sounding voice, "I am here to work on peace and by god that is what were going to do. In another 2 years when I run for President again, I will be able to look back proudly at the moment as my finest work in Middle East foreign policy. It takes balls to travel several dayss by camel to negotiate. Even if it is a tent with only yourself and several t.v. cameras!"
Indeed all day Kerry carried on intense negotiations playing the role of each of the parties moving from chair to chair and speaking as if he were from Eygpt, Gaza, and Israel, hammering home his point for each side.
"At the end of the day this has been tough and I'm afraid all sides are still a long ways apart," said Kerry.
And sadly all the other parties are a long, long ways from Timbuktoo.
