Let's go Islam now, everybody's learning how...

M. G. "Pat" Robertson has achieved national and international recognition as a religious broadcaster, philanthropist, educator, religious leader, businessman, and author. He is the founder and chairman of The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) Inc., and founder of International Family Entertainment Inc.

And now, in an unexpected move, Pat Robertson has accepted Islam as "the religion of the next century." Robertson made the about face during a press conference last night from his home in Virginia Beach.

"Islam is the way to go," Robertson said. "My days are numbered here on Earth, and I'm looking ahead to the day I'm in heaven. And it's hard to turn down 79 virgins or whatever number it is. Hell. I, always liked cows anyhow."

When reminded that the notion of cows being sacred is a Hindu custom, and not an Islamic custom, Robertson responded, "I was not aware of that. And all of these years, I have been ordering chicken in restaurants."

Kenneth Terrill, a Financial Service Representative in the Midwest, and long-time Robertson critic, said, "Pat is clearly a disturbed man. Next thing you know, he's going to show up at your door with Jimmy Swaggart selling Amway!"

Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) will officially become the Islamic Broadcasting Society (IBS) in January. "I like that name," Robertson said, "because I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and this will help draw attention to it."
