image for Spanish university too mean to fire up incinerators as hundreds of corpses rot on campus
The university's in-house crematorium has been inert for the last five years

Madrid - Relatives of some 250 people who'd donated their bodies for scientific research were up in arms today as news of the morbid pile broke.

Strapped for cash by horrendous EU austerity programs the General Franco Fascist Mammorial Infirmary apparently forgot to pay the gas bill causing a pile-up of corpses in a storage basement.

Foreclosure on the university's banking overdrafts meant its in-house crematorium was been to close down as the Euro continued to teeter on the brink of extinction in much of the Iberian country.

This morning a spokesperson said the backlog of discarded corpses was to be regretted, especially as the aircon had long since packed up.

Temperatures in the Spanish capital soared to a balmy 85 degrees today - something that may help concentrate university administrators' minds into solving the problem.

According to local NewsCorpse stringers the average cost of incinerating a formaldehyde-embalmed body hovers around the $150 mark.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
