image for Cairo Traffic Policeman to become Space Traffic controller

Due to the sudden surge in uncontrolled Space traffic, a traffic cop from Egypt has been appointed to monitor and control Rocket and Space Rover vehicles being launched in Ad Hoc fashion all over the place.

"India, China, Canada, Iran. the USA Australia and God only knows who, are popping things up there as if it is the 4th July" said a N.A.S.A motorcycle policeman this morning.

"Obviously we need the man for the job, said Buzz Flightyear. Cairo has relatively few traffic fatalities on a pro rata basis, perhaps a hundred a day in the urban areas. If a couple of these monster rockets come down over Manhattan or London there could be millions of casualties. Then there'd be questions asked as to why some sort of traffic lights or a few cops were not employed in the Stratosphere. Traffic cops in Cairo have an instinctive feeling about impending collisions and they have proved they can act on this in a split second by jumping out of the way, waving their guns and screaming."
