New York - In a statement that has surprised many, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon has announced that the ancient art of dueling will be revived and used to settle certain types of disputes.
"It won't be used to make any big decisions or to pass any important resolutions. No, for that we will continue with the same slow and generally ineffective methods we always use." said the Secretary-General.
Ban Ki-moon continued "The dueling will affect only the individual ambassadors themselves. We hope that the possibility of getting shot will raise the level of civility among our numerous and diverse membership. Of course, there will always be those who can't control their tempers and will wind up shooting it out, but we believe a few dead diplomats is a small price to pay for world peace."
