London - The Queen of Sheba jet had to be hosed down with one million gallons of fire retardant after virtually vaporizing itself at Heathrow Airport today.
The Fallopian Airlines Boeing 787 Screamliner jet which had been enroute from Addis Ababa to Nairobi began smoking mysteriously around lunch time as temperatures soared in the blistering London sunshine.
Half an hour later the entire airport was closed down in a security panic over about an imminent fireball erupting close to the terminal's gas tanks.
Today's incident is the latest in dozens of Screamliner 757 scares since the entire world fleet was grounded in January this year after
malfunctions in the plane's lithium-ion batteries.
A spokesperson for the airline said that regrettably the entire cargo payload of 5,000 goats bound for Ramadan festivities in the UK 'were toast'.
Also incinerated were two tons of yams, half a ton of dates and 600 sacks of Ethiopian coffee.
A sticky, burnt caramel-like substance is still gumming up the airport's No 1 runway and has completely crystallized around the jet's main fuselage.
Expect a humid night to follow.
