image for President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, up in arms over spam texts
A spam caller allegedly from the USA

The President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, is now up in arms over spam texts, although, it must be added that on this occasion, it's not firearms.

Palestinians throughout Gaza are being inundated with unwanted spam text messages urging them to claim for accident insurance and unexploded bomb damage.

Guitarist Mustapha Slash, from local death metal rockers "Al Beebaq and the Suicide Squad" said that he'd received seven different messages during the past twelve hours, and was now becoming rather fed up.

"It is definitely a USA conspiracy", according to failed professional suicide bomber, Alkwyet Onda Westurnfront. " These calls come from American premium rate phone numbers and offer Gaza residents the opportunity of a no-win, no-fee situation."

Mr Westurnfront phoned one of the numbers and was alarmed to find what sounded to him like a young USA female infidel, probably not wearing a burqa or dressed modestly, laughing at him.

He concluded. "This call was so expensive that I am now bankrupt and the Hamas mobile phone company are calling round to repossess my 16 year-old virgin daughter."
