There was shock, horror, more shock and even more horror in the UK as a film charting the adventures of a man who married a 7 year-old girl was premiered in Tehran today.
Titled "Prophet or Lolitas", the film consists of an incredibly flimsy script, detailing an even more flimsy plot, crowned by the inclusion of terrible acting, unbelievably bad locations and an awful soundtrack.
Most of the film is out of focus, you can't really hear what the actors are saying, and there was nothing but the rattle of Quality Street papers and the slurping of the last dregs of lemonade from cups all through the film.
Otherwise the film was quite good.
Mary Phwoarhouse, Director of the "Institute for Censoring Films She's never Seen or even Heard about until They were Featured in the Sun" (ICFSSHTFIS), said:
"This is appalling. Or maybe it's a Pauline. Although at this stage, I can't confirm the child bride's name. Normally, we tend to round up some wizened old buggers with nothing better to do and take to the streets for some serious placard waving.
"However, we have since consulted some wonderful bearded men dressed in a strange toweling material, sitting on camels and holding rather large armaments - which we thought a rather strange set-up for a group of people electioneering for the seat vacated by Louise Mensch - about how best to burn flags, issue threats and what I believe are dieting things called Fat Was, as well as just generally make a total nuisance and embarrassment of ourselves."
