Dozens of members of Syria's military defected to Turkey overnight with their families, a Turkish official said Monday, unhappy that their Government may lead them into war with the USA and the new secret pact with aliens who are using the cover of Syria to start a Thermonuclear war just in time for 2012 Mayan Doomsday prediction to take effect.

The state-run Anadolu news agency said 33 soldiers crossed into Turkey overnight and the group -- 22400 people in all -- included a general and two colonels, several neighbors, 16,000 extended family members and Syrian Olympic snatch competitor Fatima Rice.

"We are not happy that Syria has aligned itself with aliens, they have promised us that we will defeat the West and not to fear the US army" said Colonel Akab Dhafir "They have promised us technology and a shield against the impending nuclear onslaught but I am fearful this is nothing but a great ruse, that the aliens are not aliens at all but American agents trying to trick us into attacking our neighbors and to tempt us to launch a preemptive strike only to be wiped of the map!"

An alien spokesman responded "Hell no, we aren't Americans. We are genuine aliens from outer space, these guys have been watching to many movies" taking a bite out of his giant hamburger he continued "Just because we wear cowboy hats, cowboy boots and use words such as golly, no siree and gee whiz, don't make us Americans!"
