image for Fireball Over UK: Iranian Missile Test?
First Strike Capability

It seems that the supposed meteor observed over northern Britain on Saturday may have been something more sinister. A missile expert from the MOD (Ministry Of Defense) said that the trail of the slow moving object was more consistent with that of rocket exhaust.

I asked the rocket man with a hearing aid if it may just be a problem with an asteroid. He replied, "Not since I have been using the cream." He added, "We are searching a loch in Scotland for the wreckage, but have only found recent dinosaur bones so far."

I quizzed him at length about the possibility of seeing another, and he answered sharply, "Well how often do you get to see your mother? By the way, if it is a missile, we are likely to see another for ranging purposes."

He explained to me that the country could be put on alert at any moment and that a first strike capability exists. "We will not hesitate to strike quickly at any aggressor." he said. He reassured me that he was in constant contact with the "meteor" investigators by phone, and if he hears anything suspicious he will advise the MOD immediately.

Make David Grant's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
