A completely unconnected cadaver at Lahore Morgue

Pakistan - Lahore Police HQ sources are saying tonight a 'natural causes' verdict is highly likely as pathologists delve to explain the sudden unexpected death of Paul McBride QC.

The Scottish lawyer was found dead in bed at the Shangrila Hotel Presidential Suite while on urgent business in Pakistan about er, stuff, back home in Glasgow.

Two men are currently on trial at Glasgow High Court on charges of attempted murder and sending parcel bombs to the 46 year-old Silk and to Neil Lennon, manager of Celtic FC.

Last year the high profile advocate got into a right old ruck with the Scottish Football Association after calling it 'dysfunctional, dishonest and biased' over its handling of 'Old Firm' disciplinary cases. (WTF these? 'Ed').

A conspiracy theorist fan close to McBride's former cleaning woman Gretel said tonight all the evidence pointed to a classic whodunnit with paranoia knobs-on.

"Smart money's on a Mossad-hired pharma hitman with specialist knowledge of fatal myocardial infarction techniques.

"Wanna see pix of the barrister's hamster Hamish?"
