North Atlantic-- A lone survivor has been pulled from the famed Titanic, nearly 100 years after its epic tragedy. Lady Marjorie Bellamy, aged 142, was rescued by stunned divers late last night. She was airlifted to a hospital in Newfoundland to be examined, but appeared to be in good condition.
Divers have been investigating the Titanic since it was discovered lying on its side at the bottom of the Atlantic in the 1980's. No one had ever thought to look for survivors. A diver discovered Lady Marjorie hiding in her stateroom under her bed, patiently holding her breath.
"I'm from a different generation. We were taught to never give up." said Lady Marjorie after being rescued. She said she lived on raw fish, and just waited and waited for someone to rescue her.
Lady Marjorie is now famous for three different things. Besides her remarkable rescue, she was also a character on the series 'Upstairs, Downstairs'. She is also the world's oldest living human being.
"Just keep a stiff upper lip, and you can achieve most anything." said Lady Marjorie as she entered the hospital.
