Early Picture of Catherine Grieg in Dental Hygienist School!

During the 2nd day of her hearing to obtain bail, Catherine Grieg, the blonde dental hygienist who helped Killer Gang Leader Whitey Bulger escape capture for 16 years detailed her life on the run while also tearfully pleading that Whitey was 'misunderstood!"

Bulger, with close ties to the FBI, Boston Politics, and the Democratic party in Massachusetts, is accused of heading up the notorious Winter Hill Gang involved in crime at all levels, consisting of 19 murders including two women, one of them his former lover.

Grieg testified under oath that the stories involving the now 82 year old Bulger weren't of the man she came to know and love after cleaning his teeth in 1995, an event which escalated into a passionate encounter involving intimate contact while she attempted a final flossing.

"Whitey was a compassionate, thoughtful lover," said Grieg, dabbing at her eyes with a scented tissue as she was grilled on the stand by prosecutors.

"If he had any flaws, it was that he hated to lose at anything, but I overlooked his cheating at scrabble...after all, at 82 he couldn't get it up anymore, and what else were we supposed to do to pass the time while hiding out...I certainly didn't want to piss him off, I heard he had a bit of a temper!"

At stake is her plea to be released on bail with the defense saying she was simply an unwitting foil in Bulger's remarkable story of life on the run for over 16 years.

Grieg said she likened their relationship to the song, "killing me softly" when discussing her relationship with the hardened killer who had ties to the IRA and was an FBI informer in return for running his criminal enterprise unimpeded.

His FBI handler is now doing 40 years in a Florida lock up for being the button man on a hit in Florida to facilitate Whitey's business interests.

Grieg shocked the hushed courtroom as she looked right into Whitey's eyes and broke out in song, crooning:

I heard he sang a good song
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him and listen for awhile
And there he was this young boy
A stranger to my eyes...

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song.........

Following this unprecedented interruption, the Judge adjourned court for the day and admonished the jury for giving Grieg a standing ovation for her performance.

Simon Cowell is said to be interested in signing Grieg if she beats the rap.
