(Washington D.C.)- The White House announced that the new budget deal would furlough the Easter Bunny this Easter.

"There's just not enough money to pay for all the eggs and jelly-beans." stated Speaker of the House, John Boehner. Easter generally cost the United States $2.4 Billion each year and it is increasing.

"The increase is due to the huge demand of Easter eggs worldwide." Stated President Barack Obama at a White-House press conference. "There is still a chance that the Easter Bunny will get back to work next year, but there are no guarantees." Obama Continued.

The new deal still has many Americans worried whether or not Santa Claus and his elves would be furloughed this year also.

"The North Pole will still be opened. After all, it supplies over 3,000 jobs nationwide." Senator John McCain spoke about the issue.

The decision to suspend the Easter Bunny is estimated to save the United States $2.5 Billion this year, but cost the jelly-bean and plastic-egg industry $1.3 Billion.
