Philadelphia, PA - Transport police discovered the remains of a dead man on a bus this morning, and say the man probably died 'about 30 years ago.'
Frank Furter, 54, was found in the back seat of the bus. His skeletal remains were still holding an old newspaper from 1981. Police believe he died from natural causes.
No one seems to have noticed the body until today. Police believe probably 100,000 people sat next to Mr. Furter's corpse over the past 30 years. No one realized he was dead.
"People are different these days." said SEPTA bus driver Ed Skelton. Mr. Skelton was curious about the very quiet man in back of his bus, and decided to take a closer look. He alerted police about his discovery right away.
"I was just curious today, for some reason. I wanted to check the sports section, so I looked at his newspaper. I saw Ronald Reagan's face on the front page, and new right away something was wrong." said Mr. Skelton.
SEPTA police are having a difficult time finding any relatives of Mr. Furter. A quick-thinking police detective is checking all trains, subways and buses to see if any more bodies show up.
