"Haiti was just so Islandish"

Fresh off her international tour of Haiti, Sarah Palin can't stop talking about the positive influences she took away from this small Island country. In fact, Palin was so smitten with Haiti that she has begun looking into buying a condo in Miami's Little Haiti district. Her and Todd's search for a winter home in the Sunshine State has even prompted HGTV to do a special on their "House Hunters" Show which will air next season.

Sarah Palin claims she had no earthly idea what a positive impact a trip to Haiti would have on her. "Not just me, but the whole family thinks it's a great place and while we cannot see ourselves living amongst such poverty-stricken people, we do want to continue our exploration into the Haitian way of living and feel that the Little Haiti District in Miami will fulfill our needs," said Palin, who continued "Besides, there is no cholera epidemic in Miami, yet. Oh, and of course, we just love French cuisine."

The most important criteria for the Palin family is to (1) be near the ocean "remember, Haiti itself is an island nation," says Palin; and (2) abundant sunshine, again Palin reminding us that Haiti is an island nation that has its fair share of sunshine.

"All in all, we all agree that finding an upscale condo in Little Haiti as close to the ocean as we can get will suit our needs perfectly," said Palin. "We look forward to exploring that wonderful world called Haiti as soon as we can." Then added, "Hell, I hope we find something pretty soon cause it's colder than a voodoo princess' stare here in Alaska right now."
