Seventeen year old Amanda Punter was caught a bit off guard yesterday on her way to her normal school bus stop, when a mugger approached her and demanded her purse and computer bag. Amanda, a farm accident victim with the latest in prosthetic leg technology, subdued the mugger with a single drop kick to his bait and tackle.
"I wasn't all that scared", said Ms. Punter. "I had gotten very familiar with the flex option in the new leg. All I had to do was bend it back at the knee joint as far as it would go and I knew I would be sending his nuggets into next Tuesday".
The alleged mugger in the case was immediately dispatched to St. Mary's Hospital in Tampa, Florida for emergency surgery. "It will be exploratory", said Dr. Haywood Jablome, "because we simply can't find them. Her kick went so far up between his legs that she managed to kick his ass as well. Healthy girl."
Punter, now the only girl on the boys football team has proven to be an effective kicker, given the lightweight but strong nature of the carbon fiber and adjustable tension leg. "Even the other team is scared of her", said Amanda's coach. "After the mugging incident, nobody wants to even attempt a blocked kick".
