image for AG Eric Holder Directs DOJ to Shut Down Wikipedia
US Attorney General, Eric Holder

WASHINGTON D.C. - United States Attorney General Eric Holder announced today that the Department of Justice will be shutting down the Wikipedia website to stem the illegal dissemination of SECRET US Intelligence documents.

Holder said that he was "appalled" by the leak.

"There is a real threat here to put African-American lives at risk," he added.

Holder also said Wikipedia used ex-para-military and former CIA employees to help determine whether documents leaked from the armed forces or spy agencies were genuine.

He added "There have been numerous complaints that Wikipedia contains many errors, omissions and falsehoods."

"We do see wholly fabricated submissions, usually around election time," he said, but added that they were "quite rare."

When one reporter asked Holder if he was talking about Wikileaks or Wikipedia, Holder responded "It doesn't matter... All Wikis look the same to me."
