Beltway insiders insist that Al and Tipper's breakup didn't happen because of Big Al's alleged affair with Laurie David, who divorced Seinfield creator, Larry David in 2007.
Those in the know said the first indications of Al's infidelity happened in May of 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival where the doomsday documentary, Inconvenient Truth, was being premiered. Also appearing at the festival was Dolly the Sheep, the first mammal to be cloned from an adult somatic cell.
Evidently, it was lust at first sight for the famous duo; Dolly, "the world's most famous sheep" as reported by BBC News, and former Vice-President and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Al Gore.
Dolly, in a recent radio interview, said that she had a one night stand with Mr. Gore after being introduced to him at a party. Being that she was still just a lamb at the time, it is quite easy to understand how she fell easy prey to his sophisticated charms. "He pulled the wool right over my eyes. He even used a Montana Pole to see if I was smiling."
Being a wolf in sheep's clothing apparently is nothing new for Mr. Gore. Now with new charges of attempted late night hanky-pank with a Portland masseuse, one might say that he may have more vice in him than president.
Knowing that she was not the first sheep to be shorn by this gentleman in disguise will probably not ease the pain for Dolly. Only time can do that. And since France has no law prohibiting animal husbandry, it would prove futile to go through the courts to seek restitution for loss of maidenhood.
Next time, Dolly, just cross your legs.
