Little Rock, AR - You know the saying "I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached." Well, that is precisely what happened last week, only it was more than one head that showed up in the Little Rock Airport lost and found department. Between 40 to 60 heads without bodies were found in a container by an airline employee and the shippers had some 'splainin' to do.
Said an airport spokesperson, "We didn't think it was all that unusual to find the heads in the container, but what we were more concerned with is the way the container was labeled. The writing wasn't entirely legible, and what's more, the part that we could read was a bit macabre to say the least."
The labels in question, which were placed all over the container read "Severed Heads-Research Only. Not For Human Consumption."
The shipper was tracked down and explained the bizarre labeling as a practical joke. "In our line of work, you have to have a sense of humor," said Ulna Oblongata, the person at the Arkansas consulting firm responsible for getting the heads to a research facility in Fort Worth, TX. "In this case, the person who labeled the heads got the idea from another shipping agent who had shipped a bunch of organs a few weeks ago with the message 'Hearts and Livers. Research Only. Not for Human Consumption.'"
