The Eyes Of A Serial Killer

Philadelphia, PA - The British Prime Minister is a man of mystery to everyone in the United States. A random poll of 1,000 average Philadelphians was taken today. Not one person knew who he was. Most of the people who saw his photo thought he was either insane or a serial killer.

The poll was taken on a warm April morning, just outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia. People were shown Gordon Brown's photo, like the one on the right, and then asked to identify his name and occupation.

"Oh, that guy's a serial killer. You can tell by his bad haircut and crazy eyes." said Ramona McMuffin from West Philadelphia. When Ms. McMuffin was told the correct information, she seemed surprised. "I didn't know British was a country!" she exclaimed.

Tony Roma from South Philly also seemed perplexed by the photo of Gordon Brown.

"Is it George Washington?? Is it Thomas Jefferson??" he asked dumbly. After Mr. Roma was told the gentleman was the Prime Minister, he asked another question. "Is a Prime Minister sort of like a prime steak??" he wondered.

When people were told there was an election in Great Britain next month, everyone seemed very surprised.

"Doesn't the Queen run everything over there." someone commented.

Many people thought the entire country was just a fantasy anyway. "Isn't Great Britain like Disneyland or something?? It's not real. It can't be." was a common response.
