New York - (Off-the-Wall-Street): Suspended Goldman Sachs bookie Fabrice Tourre 'is being scapegoated' after DNA swabs suggested he is likely to be Bernard 'Ponzi' Madoff's son.

The London-based trader has had his business licence withdrawn by City regulators following a tip-off from the UK National Poisons Unit genome division.

Tourre, 31, is accused of betting on a Goldman Sachs sub-prime loans bombing in a classic bookies' protectionist scam.

His Goldman chopper was impounded yesterday and the company's Peterborough Court HQ helipad locked down by City of London fraud squad following reports that he might try to do a runner.

The only actual photograph of him shows a beaky Madoff-esque nose and cheeky-chappie grin reminiscent of the $100 billion US fraudster.

"Always reckoned he was George W Bush's son myself," Spoof writer Queen Mudder said today.

Wall Street's Lemon Brothers went belly-up following a lengthy Enron-style cover-up.
