Cape Fear, NC - In an attempt to cover up the mistake of two of its resident doctors in performing a C-section on a woman who was neither pregnant nor in labor, a Cape Fear, NC hospital is instead reporting the the pair of doctors delivered a ghost baby.
The ghost baby and its mother are reportedly doing well. Although it isn't official, hospital personnel are calling the tiny little bundle of ethereal spirit "Casper."
Meanwhile, the North Carolina Medical Board has issued letters of concern to the two doctors who performed a C-section on the woman upon being told by the woman that she was pregnant and in labor. "Just because a patient claims she's pregnant doesn't necessarily make her pregnant," declared a Board spokesperson.
Although an ultrasound was performed prior to the surgery which indicated that the unborn ghost had no heartbeat, doctors were elated when the ghost was indeed born with plenty of spirit.
"Say what you will," said one of the doctors on call that fateful night, "but this is one that will definitely go down in the medical journals, or at least on my records."
