image for Johnson family's tough love 'reduced Casey to Brooke Astor squalor'
Brooke Astor, who died aged 105, was never a 'skanky, drug-addicted, lesbian ho'

Los Angeles - (Chaos Theory): A celebwatch website has accused Casey Johnson's billionaire family of practising a tough love dogma that lead to her death by squalor.

LA FagHaghSlagMag's lead column said today that just like Brooke Astor the carrot and stick approach that cut off Casey's financial support 'was a symptom of the family's emotional poverty'.

"Brooke may not have been a skanky junkie lesbian ho like Casey Johnson," the column noted.

"But she was a very ill diabetic. And she was being manipulated in the same cold and heartless way by megabux relatives preaching codependent 12-step psychobabble."

The heiress to the billionaire pharma fortune lived in a squalid rented house with no water, gas or electricity.

She died over $100,000 in debt after failing a rehab program "to return her back to heterosexuality and chemical abstinence".

Police investigating her sudden unexpected death reported seeing rats in a swampy, garbage-filled pool, rotting food and months of rotting rubbish piled up around the property.

Her trust fund allowance had been cut off after her mother Sale Johnson removed Casey's adopted Kazakh daughter Ava-Monroe "for her own good."

Casey's lover/fiancee Tile Tequila is said to be boycotting the funeral.
