A surprise guest : Judge Ito

Mark Geragos sprang a surprise in the Scott Peterson trial by confirming that Amber Frey is in fact a Commie Spy. He showed the jury pictures of Frey, while the telephone tapes were being played, turning from Amber to Red while Peterson turned Green.

Redwood City, California hearing the trial of a Modesto slaying of Peterson's wife, are currently being treated to cross-examination of Peterson's former mistress.

Amber Frey is a massage therapist who kneaded for dough and had come to this Red neck of the woods to make a Modesto fortune. Unfortunately she had become entagled with Peterson who is alleged to have killed his pregnant wife.

Mark Geragos, Peterson's defense attorney wasn't buying. "Do you deny Ms Frey that you have been running around telling people that on Christmas Day 1968 you were running around Cambodia?"

Frey was stunned into silence. "And isn't it true that you have told or sold your story to Vanity Fair, of how you tried to contact President Washington but received only silence and later denials of any knowledge of your presence there?"

Frey checked frantically to see if she was in the right court. Geragos was on the charge : "....and Ms Frey is it not true that you have an album by Lennon and videoes of the Marx Brothers?.....you are a Commie spy madam, not so, your silence is screaming confirmation....speaking of which perhaps a minutes silence for the painting that has been stolen..."

Geragos like the great courtroom warriors of the past, refused to be deterred by niceties like relevance and rose to confront Frey face to face. It was at this point that one of the truly great American Clowns made his entrance killing any hope of continuing for the day.

Here is a man who is at home with cameras, make-up and playing to an audience. King of the wisecrack, ignoring the proceedings as if they were some sort of macabre joke sent to carve out a theatrical career for him the court rose in awe to Judge Ito.

I mean who will ever forget his wonderful impersonation of a judge in the OJ Simpson trial? It had everything - sterness, long meaningful staring as if to convey wisdom while never forgetting to face the camera at all times.

What about those immortal words while ruling on an objection : "Have the cameras got my best side?" Then he went on to make a landmark ruling : "I want counsel to be aware that at a trial like this all of the parties, including myself, would like to try and carve out television careers for themselves. I urge you to be wary of hogging the cameras".

Judge Ito will soon be appearing in a film of his life story entitled "Send in the clowns". Jackie Chan who plays the lead said it took them two days to play the scene where "the gloves don't fit". He says he's still laughing.

Make Rebut's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
