LOS ANGELES - Well it did not take long. Los Angeles Lakers Coach Phil Jackson told a reporter for Sports Illustrated that he is afraid that the new Mrs. Lamar Odom, aka Khloe Kardashian may bring bad luck to the Lakers team.
Phil made his remark based on past athlete-celebrity marriages and close relationships that are bordering on marriage.
He stated to just look at the bad luck that Jessica Simpson brought to her boyfriend Tony Romo and his Dallas Cowboys last season.
Jackson said that every time that Jessica attended one of the Cowboy games, they would end up losing. He pointed out that it got so bad that the Cowboy fans started up a petition drive to force owner Jerry Jones to ban Ms. Simpson from attending any of the Cowboy games; even their road games.
Jackson said that he spoke to Jones personally and he was told that the BSG (Ban Simpson Group) managed to collect almost three million signatures.
Jones said that he called Tony (Romo) in his office and told him that he had no choice but to insist that his girlfriend stay away from the Cowboy games.
Jones said that he didn't care if Tony wants to have Jessica sleep over at his house, or if he wants to take her out dancing, or to Taco Bell, but he was going to have to demand that she obey and strictly adhere to his new "No Jessica at The Cowboy Games" policy.
Tony said, "Whatever."
Jones became upset and replied, "And that's whatever Mr. Jones, sir, owner of the Cowboys sir, and the man who pays my ridiculously high multi-millionaire dollar salary even though the inconsistent way that I am playing right now isn't worth jackrabbit shit, sir."
Tony raised his eyebrows and told Jones that he would arrange for Jessica to stay home and play Pictionary with herself whenever he is playing a game.
"Wonderful." Jones remarked.
Coach Jackson confided to the number one Laker fan of all time time, Jack Nicholson, that he is seriously considering implementing a "Ban Khloe from the Laker games" policy.
Jack told the Laker coach that he vividly remembers several years ago that when Laker player Rick Foxx was married to Vanessa Williams, Jackson had made it explicitly clear to Rick that he did not want to see Vanessa Williams at any of the Lakers games.
Coach Jackson said that he had forgotten about that. He thanked Nicholson for reminding him.
Nicholson smiled and said, "So this year the popcorn and beer are on you?"
"You got it Nicky. You got it."
In a related story. Jessica Simpson actually had the ovaries(balls) to go against owner Jerry Jones' demand and she snuck into a Cowboys game disguised as Wynonna Judd. As a result an infuriated Jones hit Tony with a $10,000 fine. The next day, an infuriated Tony Romo dumped Jessica on the day before her 29th birthday.
