LOS ANGELES - The producers of the reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 have just informed the entertainment media that the name of the show is officially being changed to Jon and Kate Plus 8 Minus Jon.

Cooper Kerplunk spokesman for the TLC Network which produces the non-award winning show show said that they have opted for the new name so as to not mislead the American viewing public.

Kerplunk went on to say that they do not want to confuse the devoted fans of the show who have openly embraced the cute little show, much as they have have taken to other cute little shows in the past such as Eight Is Enough, F-Troop, Petticoat Junction, Wagon Train, and 20/20.

Kate Gosselin said that she is thrilled with the network's decision to change the name because now it means that she will not have to split the $75,000 per episode that her and her no-good, roving eye, skirt-chasing husband had to divide up equally.

Mrs. Gosselin made an appearance on the Larry King Live Show and reportedly told Larry King, "Hey Larry, $75,000 divided by one is...$75,000!"

Jon, on the other hand when asked about the new shows name simply shrugged his shoulders and asked the reporter if she had a cigarette.

When Kate was asked if she would be getting a new love interest on her new show she replied, "Are you friggin' kiddin' me? And run the risk of possibly having to divide my $75,000 by two? No effen way dude. No effen way."

SIDENOTE: There are rumors floating around about a possible new reality show starring Jon Gosselin. A somewhat reliable source said that Fox is getting ready to film the pilot episode of Jon Gosselin's Brand New Reality Show - In Search Of Some Semblance of Reality.

Make Abel Rodriguez's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
