All the town of San Diego is buzzing about one thing: Hot Monkey Love!
Charley and Chim Chim, two new monkeys just brought into the San Diego Zoo went at it the first five minutes together, say zoo officials.
"But then they have been at it with all the other chimps and there's a lot of jealously now in all the chimp section."
Asked if they could be placed by themselves in a special area of their own, they say they have tried that already.
"They nearly ..well..loved themselves to death", says employee, Janice Brooks. "So that won't work."
"I wish we could leave them in there", the zoo manager told reporters. "They've become our biggest draw, although kids aren't allowed in there. Of course, the adults don't stay long and we've had to ask four or five couples to leave the premises."
"But those two are losing weight fast so we have isolated them at present."
Have the monkeys been checked physically, some one asked.
"We had to have a male doctor check Charley and a female doctor check Chim Chim and even then, it was a close call. The female doc came out bra-less. They say they have a lot of stirred-up hormones....I think we had already concluded that."
"So what is the zoo going to do?", I asked.
We were told that, for one thing, after they get some rest, they are going to be placed outside the Panda couple's cage and any others that do not breed well in captivity.
"Let's just hope these two don't get to them. All we need right now is some freak chimpandas!"
Apparently the interview had an effect on the press also as everyone seemed to hurry back home to call the news in, instead of going to their cell phones there at the Zoo.
