Mexico City - Airport security guard Marco San Sebastien was convicted of fraudulently posing as a medical doctor after patients noted he was suspiciously doing rectal exams with blue rubber gloves and providing MRI exams using an airport security X-ray machine.
San Sebastien claimed he had to work two jobs, airport security guard by day and medical doctor by night, to feed his extended family of eight children, a wife and four grandparents.
Despite no formal medical training and a limited medical service patients frustrated with wait times for traditional practitioners flocked to San Sebastien's clinic which offered economical walk-up service for MRI scans using a stolen airport X-ray unit and free ambulance service.
Business was so good Sebastien enlisted family members assist him in directing the queues of patients for scans, having them remove metal jewelry, belts and shoes before the scans and assisting him in viewing the scans as patients passed through the X-ray machine.
Marco says he managed to give patients the same treatment for both jobs, asking everybody "Do you have any gels, creams on liquids" followed by a quick pat down or rectal exam.
"I was just providing the same kind of affordable health care for Mexicans that Obama wants for the US."
