A witness to the fight goes on a rampage

Reno, Nevada - What makes a great dad? There are a number of answers; chances are none of them involve beating another man senseless in front of a playground full of six-year-olds.

Dale Jacoby and Roger Thorne are in jail this morning. The two men are being held on assault and child endangerment charges. According to police Jacoby and Thorne got into a scuffle about who was the world's greatest dad. "Well, apparently they both got t-shirts that said 'world's greatest dad' for father's day," said Sergeant Joe Lang of the Reno Police.

Lang says both men wore their shirts to the park and that's when the trouble started. Megan Randolph was at the park with her daughter. She explained what happened: "At first they were just comparing what they did for their children. One said something about picking his son up from school and the other said he made breakfast. It went on this way for a while until one of the men mentioned he loved changing dirty diapers. The other man accused him of lying and then it got ugly."

Randolph says the two men started chasing each other around the playground. She added, "they pushed kids out of the way. Eventually they (Jacoby & Thorne) ended up wrestling in the sandpit. They just kept punching and biting each other. Children were crying, it was horrible."
