The Centers for Disease Control announced today that it was being sued by the Pork Farmers of America. The Pork Farmers of America, in a prepared statement, said that it was suing the CDC, said spokesperson, Jedidiah Pratt.
"The CDC's refusal to try to curb the medias spread of the word 'Swine Flu', compared to the real name H1N1, has caused us Pork Farmers to lose lots of money. It has also forced us to thin out our herds, causing thousands of pigs to be killed and their bodies burned. The total amount of money, and this is just an estimation folks, lost by the PFA is 1,750,000 dollars. This is really hurting our economy folks."
The CDC replied in its statement that the "Same exact thing was used by the Poultry Farmers of America when the 'Bird Flu' scare came around. We are not frightened of these peoples claims, and may settle the case out of court."
