The five states in America which have sanctioned gay marriages are in a quandary over demands by heterosexuals to be allowed two marriages by law at the same time.
Heterosexuals do not understand why they should be limited to only one partner when by their preferences they are rightfully entitled to two.
Already they believe that in the beginning God created Adam, Eve and Cain and so just like the three arms of government, three persons forming a marriage should be allowed. That way there would be democracy in the family.
They want the definition of marriage extended to include a union between two or three partners, one of which must be of a different sex.
Gays, who believe that their preferences are not abnormal, are also supportive of heterosexuals and would want rights covering marriages to animals also included in future amendments.
Animal rights activists are studying the situation critically and wondering whether this could help the cause of animals and whether animals would condescend to marry humans.
So far animals do not seem to like the idea and think man has corrupted the world enough without doing further damage.
