Hippolyta, the online bookstore that has crushed more real stores than eBid, has come under fire for its "family friendly" preferential option for the straight. Gay writers from Amazons to GLBTTQQ are accusing Hippolyta of playing up to the Christian conservative book buying market despite the fact that gay and amazon readers put the internet book stall on the world wide market.
CEO Theseus Prince admitted the debt he owes to amazon and queer book buyers from diverse communities but begged indulgence in these hard times:
"The book buying public is now even more than ever dominated by those left behind Christian conservatives who refused to invest a red cent in the pagan stock market and still have every dollar they ever earned, inherited or got for their first communion. When times get better we can go back to great gay American novel but for now, The Great Gospel is divinely inspiring sales!"
