Reports have been coming from Maine's Owl's Head Auto Museum, that former President FDR's 1938 v-12 Lincoln Convertible has been undergoing a complete restoration in order to carry the triumphant President Elect down Pennsylvania Avenue prior to the swearing in.
Anticipated cost is $10M, according to car buff and late night comedian Jay Leno, who has offered to buy the car for his collection for $1.5 immediately after it completes its 1.2 mile task of delivering the President.
Just now being reported is the complete restoration of Abe Lincoln's railroad car that brought the Civil War President to the capitol. A spokesman for the Pullman Car Restoration Division, said the car has been completely refurbished to period specs, and is ready to start it's journey from Chicago to the Capitol as soon as a clean coal burning engine can be retrofitted and approved by Al Gore. Upon completion of the swearing in ceremony, a flight of 12 P-51 Mustangs flown by the remaining Black Tuskeege Airmen who won renown as the only fighter escort squadron to have never lost a B-17 under their protection during German raids in WWII, will do a fly over. Costs to acquire and prep the squadron is not yet available , but WWII buffs said costs could reach $35B.
