image for Americans Hoping Bush Leaving Presidency Declared A Public Holiday
America says, "Bring it on!!"

After spending another anniversary date of Bush being inaugurated as president of the United States for the 8th year, many across the United States have begun to secretly hope that the date will soon become a federally mandated Holiday.

"Many have taken it off to beat their breast and wail and throw dirt up into the air anyway, so why not just start in 2009?" said a Birmingham-area citizen who wished to remain anonymous.

"I bet this year, people will also be throwing shoes into the air", added another.

"The people who tragically lost their minds and voted for him in November 1999, deserve a day of penance, a day of remembrance. Also, I could really use some extra time to take the dog to the vet and have his marbles removed."

A small minority of Americans continue to hold out hope that the anniversary of the 1999 weeks of dragging through the hanging chads and the whole Florida mess, need to stop and think and be grateful that we're still here, though pretty well screwed-up economically.

Also, everyone agreed that an annual "Bush Day" stimulus package would be nice.

Make Bureau's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
