Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America, but the first black man, has already made the first momentous decision of his presidency, by ordering 16trillion liters of black paint to 'redecorate' the White House.
The White House has been white since 1792, but the new President's wife, Michelle, feels that, to mark this important point in history, when the first black man became President, a major change is needed, and the House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue will truly become black.
Painting work has already begun, and the White House is expected to be black before Christmas. A special ceremony, commemorating the official opening of the Black House, is to be held there on 24th December, when a selection of Christmas Carols will be sung by a Gospel choir. Hallelujah!
