The two vice Presidential candidates came to verbal jousting of rhetoric in this small town in the swing state of Pennslyvannia.
Shanksville played a dark role in recent American history. It was here on that fateful day On September 11, 2001, United Flight 93 crashed in a nearby site. It gave Shanksville international attention.
In an odd cross wired circumstance, both candidates crossed paths here.
Apparently, both candidates were scheduled to speak at the same local firestation.
Senator Biden was on a small platform in front of a podium when Governor Pallin strode around the corner, from her campaign mini van.
At first there was a shock at the candidates meeting face to face.
Some witnesses say Senator Biden seemed to mouth the words,"Hey Babe, want to get on the bus?"
Governor Pallin grabbed her BFF and could be seen questioning hoarsely, "What the F*CK!"
The Senator, according to reports, was the first to recognize the obvious error, in scheduling and in an attempt to mollify the mutual embarrassment he said, "It's obvious that we have a gash here…." Then he stopped, seemed lost, and licked his lips.
The Governor had to be physically restrained at that point, as it appeared she was withdrawing a large hunting knife from her demur Coach bag.
The Senator quickly recognizing his gaffe tried again to make appeasement, "I didn't mean your friggin gash, it was where I'd,,,uh slip the tongue, I mean a slip of the tongue."
The Governor was seen struggling and frothing as secret service agents carried her back to her Caravan.
"You couldn't carry my friggin panties, Biden" screamed someone from behind a hockey duffle bag within the van.
The Senator yelled back, "Could too, TRY ME."
Governor Pallin's van quickly backed out from the handicap parking spot and left in a squeal of rubber and dust. It could not be confirmed, but there were reports, of a "pressed ham" or a "moonin", from the rear window of the van.
Both candidates deny any of yuesterday's reported incidents.
Spokesperson for Governor Pallin, BFF Marge O'Leary said, "Look, you can put panties on a pig, he's still a pig," in reference to the Senator's remark to Governor Pallin.
Senator Biden in response, spoke for himself, although he asked not to be quoted on anything he said.
