image for Woman With Beehive Hairdo Arrested In Florida

Boca Raton Fl-- A Florida woman was arrested today for violating a new code banning beehive hairdos in Boca Raton. Diane Giblet, visiting from Philadelphia, was booked on misdemeanor charges and released. She was charged with possession of a beehive 'do and could receive six-months in prison.

Boca Raton banned the outdated hairdo because it is 'tacky' and 'lowers property values'. Residents of the tony resort also consider anyone with a beehive lower class and really don't want anything to do with them.

"Only waitresses and third-rate hair stylists wear them. I mean, do they they still think it's 1965?" asked Boca resident Shelly Snobbette. "Everyone knows waitresses carry knives, and a beehive is a great place to hide things too. Women who wear them are dangerous." said the snob.

Harry Bumm from Homeland Security saw the arrest as a test case for future terrorism. "This beehive wearing perp was a menace to society. Police report the hairdo was attracting hornets and wasps. Bio terrorism could have resulted. Homeland security supports the arrest." said the insecure Mr. Bumm.

Diane Giblet came out of the Boca Raton police station still proudly sporting her 5-foot beehive. "I'm goin' back to South Philly right away, youse guys are nuts down here. And yes I am a hairstylist and proud of it!" said Diane. She spat on the sidewalk and quickly walked away in her red, nine-inch, high heeled pumps.
