In a test case children's TV favourite Bob the Builder is suing black Messiah Barack Obama over what he describes as "Stealing my whole schtick"
The loveable builder, a lifelong conservative, took legal advise when his inspirational catchphrase "yes we can" was "Borrowed" by Obama's team.
"They've deliberately infringed my copyright and I don't like it." He said from his self-built $22 Million apartment in London's prestigious Soho."What I intended as a motto for for self-reliance has been turned into some sort of Liberal mumbo jumbo."
Things got worse when Bob noticed Barack liberally lifted other material from his world famous programmes.
"I did an episode called Spud Lends a hand, which was to teach kids the value of fiscal responsibility, in which I improvised the line -as a joke- we are the ones we've been waiting for. Everybody laughed coz they all knew it was nonsense. Next thing I know this Guy, Obama's using it and getting big applause for it. I was disgusted."
Obama admits being "Influenced" by Bob Builder but denies downright plagiarism.
"Barack has taken inspiration from a number of children's programme including Snaggle Rock and the Muppet Show. Bob the Builder just happens to be one." Said a spokesman.
When asked if he thought he and his lawyers could fix the matter, Bob replied angrily "Yes We Can!"
