President G. W. Bush has agreed with OPEC proposal that the US will achieve the same fuel usage efficiency per capita as the most lenient users, "and America can achieve this in six months" he added.
Currently, the average American uses 15 ton of oil per year, compared to Malawians who use less than one tenth of a ton per year.
The American Science and Technology Committee spokesman said "We are appalled that every country in the world has advanced well ahead of the US in fuel usage technology"
From May 2008 OPEC will supply the most efficient countries first to conserve stocks. The US has 18 months to catch up or be deprived of stocks. "We only have 5 years supply left in the ground. Or 300 years supply if America where to cut its waste". said the OPEC Department of Future Trend Analyst.
The President replied "Yup"
