image for Huckabee's Big Move: Vows to Change Name

New York,USA -- The tide continues to turn for Mike Huckabee who's numbers improve everyday. The most recent coverage of his ethnic Serbian heritage seems to have given the candidate a bigger bounce than he expected, causing Huckabee to announce that he is legally changing his name back to Huckabij (Pronounced Huck-A-Bitch).

His campaign staffers seemed somewhat confused when reached for comment, with one speaking off the record stating, "I have a bad feeling about this." Others staffers seemed less confused and more upbeat, with a twenty-something female affirm, "Hey it's Mike, and Mike is Mike, there is no better product out there. Changing the name does not change the man."

This bold move is seen as a Huckabee grab for all of the American Serbian vote, which Mr. Huckabee thinks will put him over the top, particularly in Iowa. Political analysts are concerned the move may fail siting the controversial pronunciation of the candidates ancestral name. Mr. Huckabee seemed unfazed by the controversy, "People have been so supportive, Americans are much bigger than that."

John McCain was reached for comment and said, "you've got to be kidding."

Rudy Guiliani said, "He's just trying to steal all my ethnic vote, well, bring it on Huck a bitch!!"
Mitt Romney was also reached for comment. "You don't see me changing my name back to RomKnee do you???"

This may be the biggest political name change in American politics since Harry added 'S' to Truman.
