Robbinsville, North Carolina (IP) - There is an extreme shortage of water in the southeast United States and Atlanta, Georgia has less than an 80 day supply of water left for millions of people.
A two hour drive north in Robbinsville, North Carolina there is so much water that the town has to pump their excess water into their sewers.
The two extremes clashed this week when North Carolina said they would not have enough water for themselves so much less for Atlanta and that giving Atlanta water would create water shortages in North Carolina.
In the meantime in Robbinsville there is too much water and residents there are rubbing it in. They spit water out purposefully when they see people in cars with Georgia license tags. They also had a huge elephant wash and water activities was the theme of a recent town festival.
It was a festival which included fire trucks pumping water through special fountains which create a rain like event where kids can frolic in the man made rain as it comes down on them and then washes down the street's gutters and into the town's sewer system.
When the Mayor of Robinsville was asked where all the water had come from he revealed that his town had hired a cloud seeding company which sent their planes into the clouds over Robinsville and sprayed them with silver iodide crystals which induces coalescence in much the same way as ice crystals would.
