Houston, NASA - Nasa officials are planning a risky spacewalk on Saturday to repair the International Space Station. But they warned the procedure does contain a slight risk of electrocution.
But Astronaut, and avid comic book reader, Scott Parazynski isn't worried. For him, this dangerous space-walk presents a once in a lifetime opportunity to gain super powers.
"They say I might get electrocuted during my space-walk, but I know better." gushed the delusional comic-fan-turned-astronaut, adding "The Fantastic Four got their super-powers in space, why not me?"
At first, Parazynskis claims seemed ludicrous, but our research, which included a reading of Stan Lee's "Origins of Marvel Super-heroes" revealed that many super-heroes gained their abilities through weird circumstances like electrified space-walks.
When we pointed this out to Nasa officials, they responded by saying that Parazynski is playing fast and loose with the facts.
"Our computer models show there is virtually no chance that Parazynski will gain super powers from his exposure to electricity in space." said one official.
But he did concede that since Parazynski's exposure to electricity would be limited to his right index finger, it is only slightly possible that Parazynski will be able to "shoot tiny sparks out of it from time to time."
"Cool" smiled an enthusiastic Parazynski.
