The Cincinnati customer service firm of House and Harris has been learning a lot about Canada recently through the efforts of IT specialist Ian McDougalman, who has come there for 3 weeks from their Kitchener, Ontario location.
"Ian's a nice guy," said client rep Sherri Callbrook, "But he keeps talking about how he can go to the Doctor anytime he wants, for free, in Canada. It seems like he thinks it makes him special. We're getting a bit tired of it."
Ian explained "I just think health care is important, like that American politician Bernard Obama does. That's all."
Dave Carrandos of the Cincinnati firm said he thought health care was important too, but didn't feel it was appropriate to talk about it too much in the workplace. Also, he added, "What's with that Ontario Science Center? It is really that big of a deal? Who's Don Mills anyway?"
Ian added "I was talking about lots of things, like the Cincinnati Red Sox baseball team. I brought up the Toronto Maple Leafs too, but I guess hockey isn't big in Cincy."
Mr. Carrandos added "I guess I could stand to learn a bit more about Canada. It's near Michigan, right?"
Ian also doesn't think a few inches of snow is "anything at all, really."
