Angry Neighbors are the only symptoms 23 year old James Duncan of Miami Beach Florida feels whilst practicing what he calls 'EllieDancing'.
Dubbed locally as 'Mr Missy' and 'Mr Elliot' James Duncan says he has developed a style of hip-hop dancing specifically used whilst listening to extremely loud songs by hip-hop/rap artist Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliot'.
While James seems to think playing the music extremely loud and dancing to it on the front porch of his Miami Beach home is perfectly acceptable, such is not the case with his neighbor Annette Garrison. Ms. Garrison (56) says after hearing the loud music one afternoon as she was tending her garden, she was outraged at the level of noise coming from Mr. Duncans house: "The noise was almost unbearable, so much so that I couldn't even stay outside. When I asked him [Mr. Duncan] to turn it down he refused saying he was practicing his 'EllieDancing' and that the music had to be as loud as that to dance to it."
When asked to comment on this Mr. Duncan stated: "It's not possible to practice 'EllieDancing' without having the music turned up because you can't get the vibe and effect of the words"
He says he won't be turning his music down any time soon and thinks Ms. Garrison should start listening to the music and stop living in the dark ages. He also says that none of the other neighbors have complained and he has plans to start offering 'EllieDancing' classes to the locals.
When asked how he [Mr. Duncan] got started with what he calls 'EllieDancing' Duncan replied: "Basically it all started when I heard 'Pass that Dutch' by Missy Elliot. I'd listened to some of her music before but this song just blew me away, as soon as I heard it I just starting dancing and eventually realised that I had developed a unique style which I only found my self dancing when I heard that song."
Mr. Duncan says he may even start making more styles to even more 'Missy' songs and hopes that one day 'Missy' might even support his 'EllieDancing'. Meanwhile he is going to continue to play his music loud and dance his heart out despite complaints from his neighbor Ms. Annette Garrison.
