Washington DC - (Ass Mess): The Inner sanctum of the Corrupt Bastards Club is reported to be in a panic tonight as Congress issued subpoenas for two ex-Bush aides - former White House counsel Harriet Miers and political director Sara Taylor.
They have been summoned to testify about controversial firing arrangements involving federal prosecutors last year which the CBC had bribed Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to get rid of pending the BP Texas City refinery disaster probe.
The Senate Judiciary Committee told Bush aides that this was their last chance to turn over evidence about the firing of 93 state attorneys who were not prepared to pervert the course of justice just to keep Gonzales, Cheney, Rove, Rice and Gates in a job.
As predicted, White House shock-jock Tony Snow reacted with contempt to today's move telling the Press Corpse "Subpoenas? My ass!"
But Democrat Senate sources were said to be delighted by the challenge which some insiders now believe will come to a huge head as early as the middle of next week when UK law enforcement agencies charge Prime Monster Tony Blair with treason and war crimes.
