West Point, New York (FP) Vice President Dick Cheney delivered the commencement speech at West Point Academy to the graduating class during which he criticizing the Geneva Convention and the United States Constitution while checking his email on his cell phone.
"Capture one of these prisoners, and he'll be quick to demand the protections of the Geneva Convention and the Constitution of the United States," the Vice President said in the Saturday morning speech.
"You see that mass of terrorists over there" gesturing to the anti-war protesters. "Although they seem to be peacefully assembled, I bet I could get them to scream for Constitutional protection, when I'm running them over with my HumV." continued the Cheney.
"You have lived by a code of honor, and internalized that code as West Point men and women always do," he said and paused to take a urgent cell phone call from David Lesar, CEO of Halliburton, who needed to clear up some confusion on a new no contest bid to build a new drilling facility in the deserted historic town of Anbar.
He continued after the call, "As Army officers on duty in the war on terror, this war on terror, The Terror War, which will make you now face people who protest, oppose and despise everything this administration has legislated to be right, every notion of upright conduct and character, and every belief worth fighting and killing for. You should target these people with your first actions as military leaders later today." Gesturing again to the anti-war protestors, which were easily in view.
Cheney, looking distracted, concluded while reading an IM on his cell phone, "The terrorists know what they want and Plame will stop at nothing to get it." he mumbled, while continuing to read his cell phone message. "By force and intimidation, Fitzgerald seeks to expose a dictatorship of fear, under which every man, woman, and child will resign in total obedience to their leader."
Finishing his speech in bewilderment, the Vice President exited stage left with secret service in tail.
