image for Hurricane Naming to Change After Innapropriately Named, Hurricane 'Cecil', Kills Hundreds
Hurricane 'Cecil' embarrassed all who were affected.

Hurricane Cecil tore through a small town in America's south today leaving thousands without homes and many missing, feared ... missing.

The appallingly named 'Cecil' was unbelievably powerful and destructive and local residents, or ex - residents, have called for a change in the naming rules for hurricanes in general.

The Mayor of the town came out today in favor of the changes. "I think it's terrible that some people may have lost their livelihoods, their homes, maybe even their family members to something called Cecil!" The mayor screamed at reporters, "This has to change."

The changes being suggested are based on the strength of the hurricane. "It's all very well for it to be named 'Cecil' if it's a light breeze." says a local man who lost his business to the hurricane "But I can't go around telling people my uncle was taken by 'Cecil', it sounds ridiculous.

A vote has been taken in, what's left of, the town hall by, what's left of, the citizens. They have voted unanimously to change the name of Hurricane 'Cecil' to Hurricane 'Vlad the Impaler'.

Make Tom Taylor's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
