The state of Calfornia legislature has voted to outlaw spanking. Effective February 1, it will be illegal to spank a child as a form or punishment. The new law has drawn strong reactions from people in the Golden state.
Mary Jane Smith of San Diego was upset by the new law. "When my one year old touches a hot stove, I cannot slap their hands and say no! This is the way to teach them not to do something! There is a big difference between a beating and a spanking. I am not taking a whip or a paddle and railing on my kids. I am using an open hand!"
Socailite Paris Hilton, who maintains a residence in California, said that "anyone who needs someone to spank can come over and spank me! I can have Britney here too. You can even spank us without our panties, or we can wear those lacey, ruffle butt ones if that turns you on."
