Manhattan Jan 9th 2007, A strange odor permeated the buildings and streets of NYC yesterday causing many to abandon their desks and flock to the streets of the city.
After 911 the residents and workers of Manhattan are understandably skittish when it comes to unusual occurrences in the city.
Witnesses said there was a natural gas like odor in buildings and the streets coming from an unknown source.
Mayor Bloomberg made an announcement that the source of the gas was under investigation but at the time was unable to pin point it.
Airport employees brought some light to the situation when they made the observation that a jet flying to Washington with many of the Bush administration on board flew over Manhattan at the same time as the curious odor surfaced.
Apparently, bad policies, unfulfilled promises and misdirection created the stench that was following the jet containing the politicians as it flew through the sky. It lay a blanket over the city that people are finally beginning to smell.
